The foreign students, girls or boys, are betwen 15 and 18 years old. They may come from anywhere in the world. Students are selected on their motivation, maturity, open mindedness, apparent adaptability and their desire to come to South Africa. They are fully insured and have their own pocket money. Students will undergo an orientation before departure and on arrival in South Africa too. Students are required to adapt to the host family lifestyle and are not to be treated as a guest or a tourist and rules that apply to any children in the host family home apply to the exchange student as well, no matter what age or sex the student may be.
